2025 Christmas Arrangements at our surgeries

We wish all of our patients a happy and healthy Christmas period. To support our patients over the Christmas period, we will operate an acute/urgent service only from Monday 22nd December. Routine services will re-commence on Tuesday 6th January 2026.

• Our Newtown surgery will close for Christmas at 2pm on Christmas Eve 24th December 2025.

• We will operate an emergency phone service from 2-6pm on Christmas Eve. Please ring through our surgery line 090 6472075 for details.

• Our Monksland surgery will close for Christmas at 6pm on Tuesday 23rd December. Please contact our Newtown surgery for urgent/acute services on Christmas eve 9am-2pm and for our emergency service details.

• Both Newtown and Monksland surgeries will re-open on Monday 29th December.

• MIDOC Out of hours emergency/acute services will be available outside of surgery hours - contact 1800 302702.

• Repeat prescription orders will be accepted and processed up to COB on Thursday 18th December.

• Flu and covid vaccines continue to be available to all patients, including a nasal spray vaccine for all children aged 2-17 yrs.
